A family of a little boy, Austin, who passed away, donated the money to build it. I don't know who designed it, but their funds were turned into a little wonderland. It is amazing the difference creative purpose can make.
You walk through a winding path, lined with stones printed with inspiritational messages,
standing among the flower beds.
Bronze statues of children playing in the garden nestle among the flowers.
Through the whole garden winds a rock wall, built to contain a stream which finally ends at a pool. In the middle of the pool is Jesus, holding a lamb and talking to a little boy. I love this statue of Jesus because he seems so...real. You feel like for once you can actually see him walking the land, talking to the poor, giving a loving word or hand where needed. For once he isn't nailed up on the cross, or head bent in prayer. He is a person, and somehow that gave me a moment of connection with him that I had not felt with the divine Jesus.
Oh, and did I mention there were water wheels?
